Am Wochenende habe ich das Repair Cafè in meinem Stadtteil besucht. Das ist eine feine Sache: man kann kaputte Kleidung und Geräte hinbringen, und es gibt Fachleute, die alles wieder reparieren – oder es zumindest versuchen. Es gibt nur 5 oder 6 Reparatur-Tische, und es dauert eine Weile, bis man an der Reihe ist. Doch während man wartet, kann man Kaffee trinken, feinen Kuchen essen, Schwätzchen halten – und zeichnen.
Last weekend I visited the Repair Cafè in my neighborhood. That’s a nice thing: you can bring broken gadgets or torn clothes, and experts will try to mend and repair it. There are only 5 or 6 places and you have to wait your turn. It takes a while, but in the meantime you can have coffee, delicious cake, a chat with your neighbor – or you can draw.
